Current notice on Covid-19

Due to the Corona (COVID-19) virus, please note the current recommendations of the foreign services of the EU for the entire period of travel planning and during the trip: Travel during the coronavirus pandemic | European Commission (europa.eu) and WHO: https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019

The safety and health of the scholarship holders is our top priority. A trip and the scholarship can only be started if no entry warnings have been issued for certain areas or countries and the protection of your health and your environment is not endangered. If necessary, please take out travel cancellation insurance for your chosen means of travel. We recommend that you keep yourself up to date on the booked travel country until immediately before you start your journey and that you comply with the prescribed hygiene measures. We will remain in close contact with you as the process progresses and make decisions with you depending on the status of the overall situation or on a case-by-case basis.

Note: The Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe and Deutsche Bahn do not assume any costs beyond the provision of the Interrail pass. Seat reservation costs must be borne by yourself. Corona-related costs for any costs for self-tests, PCR tests, medical masks and quarantine costs for hotels or similar are not covered, nor are food and accommodation costs.
